Achievements

Since its inception in 2011, Malarkodi Velu Educational Trust has been committed to supporting deserving students from the Kulalar/Udayar community in pursuing higher education. Over the years, the Trust has made a meaningful difference in the lives of approximately 95 students across various academic disciplines.
The beneficiaries include:

  • 33 Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) graduates
  • 32 Diploma graduates
  • 10 Doctors
  • 7 Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) graduates
  • 5 Physiotherapists
  • Several other graduates from various professional and academic streams

Each application received for financial assistance is carefully evaluated. The Trust believes in personally verifying every deserving case before sanctioning financial support, ensuring that assistance reaches students who genuinely need it. The Trust maintains its accounts with complete transparency, follows systematic financial procedures, and continually strives to improve its processes while remaining fully accountable to its donors and beneficiaries.

At present, the Trust has chosen to extend its services primarily to the Kulalar/Udayar community. With limited financial resources, our objective has been to first uplift deserving students within our own community. As our resources grow and more like-minded individuals join this mission, we aspire to expand our reach and support many more deserving students irrespective of community.

We are proud to acknowledge that nearly 90% of the funds received by the Trust have been generously contributed by the family members of Mr. N. Velu, whose vision and commitment laid the foundation for this noble initiative. The remaining contributions have come from generous, like-minded members of our community who believe in the transformative power of education.
